SPIC wins `Award of Honour'

The Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Limited (SPIC), Tuticorin, has bagged the `Award of Honour' instituted by the National Safety Council-Tamil Nadu chapter for 2006.

R. Muthumanoharan, Vice-President (Fertilizer Business), received the award on behalf of his company from K. Balachandran, Director (Operations), Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited, Chennai, at a function held in Chennai recently.

K.A. Mohammed Aziz, Chief Inspector of Factories and Chairman of National Safety Council-Tamil Nadu chapter, was present.

The SPIC, Tuticorin, had won the same award earlier in 1999 and 2001.
