SSLC Examinations begin

The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination commenced in Tuticorin district on 22nd March.

A total of 19,859 students (9,639 boys and 10,220 girls) wrote the examination at 78 centres in the district.

Of them, 12,635 students (6,012 boys and 6,623 girls) took the examination at 51 centres in Tuticorin Educational District and the remaining, 7,224 (3,627 boys and 3,597 girls) appeared at 27 centres under Kovilpatti Educational District.

A total of 54 standing and mobile squads inspected the examination centres across the district to check for malpractice.

The Collector, R. Palaniyandi, conducted a lightning inspection at Subbiah Vidyalayam Girls Higher Secondary School, to check the arrangements made by the Department of Education.
