Tuticorin to host 'TIE-2007' expo

"TIE-2007", a national level buyer-seller meet cum exhibition, will be held for the first time in Tuticorin City of Tamil Nadu from September 21 to 23.

TIE 2007 is an ideal platform for machinery, equipment, technology suppliers and service providers to market their products in south Tamilnadu. TUTICORIN is the gate way of Tamilnadu with numerous large and small scale industries.

The objective of TIE-2007 was to bring MSMEs, industries, government departments and PSUs under a common platform for business promotion and to showcase the strength and competitiveness of the MSMEs.

Top executives from the big companies, small and medium scale industries in Tuticorin & south Tamilnadu will be visiting the event.

The expo would be organised by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute, in association with the Tuticorin District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (THUDITSIA).

Besides small and micro industries, large scale industries, both from the public and private sector, would participate in the meet, MSME Director Sivagnanam told reporters.

Profile for exhibit include Forklift, Crushers, Wind Mill, Wire Mesh, Bio Gasifies, Textile, Garment Industry, Solar Equipments, Vibratory Screens, Boilers & Spares, All kinds of Cranes, All Kinds of Pumps, Welding Equipments, Industrial Instrumentation, CAD/ CAM Machinery, Blowers and Compressors, Saw Mill & Wood Working, Food processing Equipments, Concrete Blocks Machinery.

About 126 stalls would be put up at the expo, which was expected to attract 10,000 visitors and generate a business of about Rs 20 to Rs 30 crore.
