70-year Old Man on World Bicycle Tour Visits Tuticorin

A 70-year old native of Rome on a world tour on bicycle, reached Tuticorin on 19th Feb.morning after covering 75,000 kms.

Januriver started his bicycle tour from Rome in 2000 and would end it in Beijing in 2008, the venue of next Olympics, after covering 73 countries, a release from the district sports department said.

In India he would be covering 4,500 kms spread across four states -- Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, kerala and Maharashtra.

He had arrived in Chennai on January 24. He left Tuticorin today to Tiruchendur and then to Nagercoil, on his way to Kerala.
