Jewellers Protest in Tuticorin

Jewellery shops in the Tuticorin City closed thier Jewellery Shops on Thursday to protest police enquiry against a jeweller for getting goods from a "thief" . They said that the police took the owner of a shop to Thermal Nagar Police Station "unnecessarily and behaved in a rude manner." According to the police, he was taken to the station as he refused to give back the stolen goods.
