Chennai – Tuticorin special train

Southern Railway will operate special trains between Chennai Egmore and Tuticorin during October to clear the extra rush of passengers for Ramzan/Pooja festivals:


Chennai Egmore – Tuticorin – Chennai Egmore (weekly) Specials:


T.No.0633 Chennai Egmore – Tuticorin Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 22.45 hrs. on Saturdays from October 6 to 27 and arrive Tuticorin at 12.15 hrs. the next day.


T.No.0634 Tuticorin – Chennai Egmore Special will leave Tuticorin at 21.15 hrs. on Sundays from October 7 to 28 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 10.00 hrs. the next day.


The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.


The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi. T.No. 0634 will stop at Mambalam also.


Advance reservation for the above trains has commenced on September 29, according to a Southern Railway press release.
