Contests on tourism held in Tuticorin

The Department of Tourism in association with the V.O. Chidambaram College, Tuticorin, conducted inter-collegiate cultural competitions in Tuticorin on 25th September, as part of World Tourism Day celebrations. Essay, quiz and elocution contests were held on the theme of ‘Tourism opens door for women’.

About 50 students from Annammal College of Education for Women, Tuticorin, K.R. College of Arts and Science, Kovilpatti, A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Tuticorin, S.S. Duraiswamy Nadar Mariammal College, Kovilpatti, Sri Kumara Gurupara Swamigal Arts College, Srivaikundam, Govindammal Aditanar College, Tuticorin, and V.O.C. College, Tuticorin, took part in the event. T. Chellappa, District Tourism Officer, said that prizes to the winners will be distributed today.
