Coastal Security measures reviewed

Director General of Coast Guard Rustom Faramroze Contractor on Monday reviewed measures taken by the Coast Guard station in Tuticorin to protect the marine environment in the Gulf of Mannar.

The security extended to the coral reef islands, offshore installations and other structures within the maritime zone were examined.

Mr.Contractor studied the operational preparedness of the Coast Guard fleet stationed in the Tuticorin port. He carried out assessment on board patrol vessels, Aruna Asaf Ali and Naiki Devi.
